Privacy Policy

Effective October 30, 2026

SYNC (“SYNC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a web-based project management platform designed to help individuals, teams, and businesses organize projects, manage tasks, collaborate, and keep their work moving.

SYNC was created by Christopher Gray.

This Privacy Policy explains what information SYNC collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

The short version: Your projects, files, and information belong to you. SYNC uses your data to operate the platform and provide the features you choose to use. We do not sell your personal information, use your private project content for advertising, or use your content to train artificial intelligence models.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use SYNC, we may collect information necessary to provide our services.

When you register or sign in, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Profile picture
  • Account credentials or authentication identifiers
  • Workspace and organization information
  • Account preferences and settings

This information allows us to identify your account, manage access, and personalize your experience.

Projects, Tasks, and Workspace Data

SYNC stores information you and your team create or upload, which may include:

  • Project names, descriptions, and details

  • Files, attachments, and links
  • Client information you choose to enter
  • Custom workflows, labels, and workspace settings

This information is used to provide the project management features of SYNC.

Files and Connected Services

SYNC may allow you to connect third-party services, including Google Drive and other productivity platforms.

When you authorize an integration, SYNC may access information permitted by that service and necessary to provide the features you enable.

Depending on the integration, this may include file names, folder structures, file metadata, sharing information, and file contents.

SYNC accesses and processes this information to provide requested functionality, such as linking files to projects, displaying previews, organizing information, or synchronizing project activity.

We do not access unrelated files or information beyond the permissions granted and the functionality required by the integration.

Technical Information

When you use SYNC, we may automatically collect limited technical information, including:

  • Browser type and operating system
  • IP address
  • Device information
  • Login and authentication activity
  • Application errors and performance information
  • Basic usage activity

This information helps us maintain security, troubleshoot problems, and improve the reliability of the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

SYNC uses collected information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Store and organize projects and tasks
  • Enable team collaboration
  • Manage permissions and workspace access
  • Provide file management and integrations
  • Send relevant account and project notifications
  • Maintain platform security
  • Resolve technical issues
  • Improve application functionality and performance
  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use private project content to target advertisements.

We do not use your projects, files, messages, or connected service data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

3. Where Your Information Is Stored

SYNC is a cloud-based application.

Unlike applications that operate entirely within a web browser, SYNC may securely store and process information on servers and infrastructure operated by trusted service providers.

Our application infrastructure may include:

Supabase: Provides database infrastructure, authentication services, and application data storage.

Vercel: Provides application hosting, deployment infrastructure, and delivery of the SYNC web application.

Connected third-party services: When you connect an external service, information may remain stored with that provider while SYNC accesses or processes the information necessary for the integration.

Data may be processed or stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information stored and processed by SYNC.

4. Sharing and Collaboration

SYNC is designed for collaboration.

Information you add to a shared workspace or project may be visible to other members who have been granted access.

Depending on their permissions, collaborators may be able to view, edit, comment on, download, or manage project information.

Workspace administrators may have additional access to manage members, projects, and settings.

You are responsible for choosing which individuals have access to your workspace and for managing the permissions you grant.

SYNC does not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties.

We may share limited information with trusted service providers when necessary to operate the platform, respond to authorized support requests, protect against fraud or security threats, or comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Third-Party Services and Integrations

SYNC may integrate with external services to expand project management functionality.

These services may include:

  • Google Drive
  • Slack
  • Google Chat
  • Frame.io
  • Other services introduced as the platform develops

Third-party integrations are optional unless specifically required for a feature.

When you connect an external service, you authorize SYNC to access information according to the permissions presented during the connection process.

Third-party services maintain their own privacy policies and security practices.

SYNC does not control how these providers independently process information within their services.

You can review their policies through their respective websites.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

If you connect your Google account or Google Drive to SYNC, our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data accessed through these integrations is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that you authorize.

SYNC does not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Access to Google data is limited to the functionality necessary to provide the connected service.

You can revoke SYNC's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account connections.

7. Data Ownership

Your work belongs to you.

You retain ownership of the projects, files, messages, and other content you create or upload to SYNC.

Using SYNC does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

You grant SYNC permission to store, process, display, and transmit your content only as necessary to provide the platform and its features.

We do not claim ownership of your original project content.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

SYNC retains account and workspace information for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain active accounts, and meet applicable legal or security obligations.

You may request the deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us.

When an account or workspace is deleted, we will delete or de-identify associated information unless retention is necessary for legitimate security, legal, or operational reasons.

Certain information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups expire under our retention procedures.

Deleting your SYNC account does not automatically delete files or information stored independently in connected third-party services.

To request account or data deletion, contact letsgetsyncd@gmail.com.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.

These measures may include:

  • HTTPS encryption for data transmitted between your browser and our services
  • Secure authentication mechanisms
  • Database access controls
  • Workspace and user permissions
  • Restricted access to application infrastructure
  • Monitoring and maintenance of application security

When third-party authentication is used, your password is handled by the authentication provider rather than being directly collected by SYNC.

No online platform can guarantee absolute security. We encourage users to maintain strong passwords, protect their login credentials, and carefully manage workspace access.

10. Cookies and Local Storage

SYNC may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies to support essential application functionality.

These may be used to:

  • Keep users signed in
  • Maintain secure sessions
  • Remember application preferences
  • Improve performance
  • Support account security

These technologies are intended to support the operation of the platform.

If we introduce optional analytics or other nonessential tracking technologies, we will update this policy and provide applicable choices or consent mechanisms.

11. Children's Privacy

SYNC is designed for professional and organizational use and is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate account information
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Request a copy of certain information
  • Withdraw consent for optional integrations
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities

You can manage some information directly through your account or workspace settings.

For additional requests, contact letsgetsyncd@gmail.com.

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as SYNC develops, new features are introduced, or applicable requirements change.

When changes are made, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.

For significant changes affecting how personal information is collected, stored, or used, we may provide additional notice through the application or by email.

Continued use of SYNC after an updated policy takes effect is subject to the revised policy, where permitted by applicable law.
